Highland Reeds are delighted to announce a new website, more compact, concise and easier access to product data and shopping for our products.
We hope you enjoy the new site, please take a look around. We’d love to have your feedback on the site as well as ideas for the future.
I’m also trying to collect some images of me through the years of playing and teaching. If you have some images you’d be willing to share please email them to me, including a caption of event and date and I’ll look to include them on the website.
I don’t have any still images to share, but I did recently post the entire program of the Scottish Division Beating Retreat at Horse Guards Parade, London (1990) on YouTube here:
There’s a brief close-up of you at 29:07 (there’s also another of the QO HLDRS at 28.52 – Pipe Sergeant Alasdair Gillies).
BTW, I’m getting ready to place an order (probably with Achiltibuie) for a set of your Balance Tone HR Drone Reeds and your Split Stock Moisture Tube. BTW, I think I may have an almost complete collection of your drone reeds (blacks, grays, yellows, even R.G. Hardie reds). I already have a split stock in my hide bag, but the tube is just a plain tube. After about 45 minutes, it gets enough moisture on the outside tenor tongue to shut it off. Hopefully the compression cartridge on your tube will take care of that issue.
